This is a plain-language summary of our terms. It's meant to be easy to read, not to replace the real thing. The full legal version is the binding document.
These terms govern your use of Open Invite. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
Open Invite is a social app for sharing plans with friends. You post what you're doing, share it with your circles, and your friends can see it and join in.
You own the content you post (plans, comments, photos, etc.). By posting it on Open Invite, you give us a limited license to display it to the people you've shared it with — that's how the app works. We don't claim ownership of your content, and we don't use it for anything beyond running the service.
When you delete content or your account, we delete it from our systems. Other users may have seen it before deletion, but we don't retain copies.
If you send us feature suggestions or ideas, we may use them to improve the app without owing you anything for it. Don't send us anything you consider confidential.
Don't use Open Invite to:
We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these rules. If it's ambiguous, we'll try to reach out first.
Your privacy matters. Plans are only visible to people you share them with. We don't sell data or run ads. See our Privacy Policy for the full details on what we collect and why.
Plans may include links to external websites (restaurants, ticket sites, etc.). We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or practices. Cover images from Pexels are subject to the Pexels License.
We aim to keep Open Invite running smoothly, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. We may need to take the service down for maintenance, updates, or unexpected issues. We'll try to give notice when we can.
Open Invite is provided “as is.” We do our best to keep it reliable and secure, but we can't guarantee it will always work perfectly. To the extent permitted by law:
We may update these terms as the app evolves. If we make meaningful changes, we'll notify active users through the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
You can stop using Open Invite and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If we shut down the service entirely, we'll give users reasonable notice.
If something comes up, we'll try to work it out directly first. If we can't resolve it within 30 days, disputes are handled through individual arbitration (not court, not class actions). You can opt out of arbitration within 30 days of creating your account by emailing us. These terms are governed by New York state law.
See the full legal version for the complete arbitration terms and your opt-out rights.
